Make interactive equipment come to life
- Opal’s partnered with government-funded BioPathways to support biomanufacturing training needs for Gippsland’s universities and TAFE’s.
- The advancement of technology has created new learning opportunities that spearheaded engaging, remote learning solutions that can effectively support current traditional modes of teaching.
- Opal and Gippsland TAFE sought immersive alternatives to better support the induction and on-boarding of new students to subjects related to sustainability and operations of recycling machinery.
Solution
- The client required an application to help students be more familiar with Opal’s operations in Gippsland, and conceptually understand the use of machinery through an augmented virtual simulation of the machine.
- We completed an immersive 360 onsite safety induction video, to help students/visitors better understand the Opal operations AR application (called Bioman).
- It uses an exact 3D model representing the real-life machine, enabling students to ‘operate’ the machine using a mobile or tablet device, according to specified instructions. The user can rotate, zoom in/out and interact with the 3D model of the machine, becoming more familiar with the operations before actually using the real-life version.
