Safe Approach System for Security Guards
- Wilson Security wanted to develop a training program that enabled new security guards to experience the different situations they will face on a daily basis, but without the inherent risks and hazards.
- The Training program needed to ensure the new security guards learn the Safe Approach System, an approach Wilson Security uses for all interactions with the general public.
Solution
- 8 x interactive VR Training Modules were developed in collaboration with the client, focusing on the key moments and experiences for a security guard.
- These scenes depicted the typical situations the security guard would face, including threats, abuse and other risky behaviours.
- Talent and locations were established to replicate the scenarios as realistic as possible, with graphics and overlays to enhance learning retention.
- VR Training Modules were very well received by security guard learners and the program is utilised Australia wide by Wilson Security, including an investment of over 30 headsets to roll out nationally.
